Jason Christoff
Jason Christoff graduated from McGill University and started Physical Limits at the age of 24. Physical Limits has seen 3 major expansions since its humble beginnings, as a club which first occupied only 6000 square feet in 1994. (on a second floor). At the age of only 24 Jason received a commercial bank loan without a co-signer and his business plan was so finely written the bank thought it may be a fraud, drilling Jason for days on every aspect of the proposal. Jason explained every detail down to the finest point and with that the bank not only knew that it was for real but that Jason was going to be a guaranteed success. The bank obviously has not regretted that decision.
Physical Limits now occupies 16,000 square feet and has marked itself as one of the premier fitness clubs in Ontario. The Cornwall Area Chamber of Commerce acknowledged Jason’s efforts in 1996, awarding him with the honor of Entrepreneur of the Year at the tender age of 26. In the same year Jason mentored his cousin, David Hotrum, with the opening of Body Boomers Fitness Club in Oshawa. David was only 19 at the time and the club remains dominant in its market today. Jason, David and Jason Affleck all partnered in 2003 and opened Body Boomers’ second location in Whitby, Ontario. At the early age of 26 Jason also mentored the opening of Robin Gardiner’s first club, Phaze 1, in Petawawa and still counsels Robin with his new venture Unlimited Fitness in Orleans.
